The carved, sleeping cat represents my cat. He was made of spice cake, covered in buttercream, textured and airbrushed. Even his ears were edible, but watch out for the toothpicks holding them on!
Different types of 3d cakes are charged at different rates. Those made with pre-formed pans, covered with buttercream stars, require less effort and time, and therefore cost a bit less. Those that are carved and more realistic take considerable time and effort, and you will think the results for your cake were well worth it!
